I’ll start by mentioning that my two-month learning curve was just exponential. I could not have asked for a better learning experience. So, on June 13, 2022, my internship began at Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP, and I finally took my first step into the corporate world. I spent the first few days getting to know my team members, setting up my computer, and learning about my project, which I believe is crucial.

This experience has helped me realize my aim of having a solid understanding of the development domain since I had such sympathetic, kind, and supporting mentors. I gained confidence in my ability to continue to grow and develop professionally and in my pursuits thanks to the lessons I acquired from the course that was supplied to us as well as from the collaborating mentor panel. The actual application of the skills acquired throughout my training/internship period and the recursive process of learning topics stand out to me as the two separate learning experiences that had the greatest influence on my development.

Helping Clients to make business decisions by creating visualizations that help to turn data into actionable information using Power BI.Consolidating data from multiple sources provided, evaluating data, and creating informative reports. Extracting the truth which can be hidden behind seemingly huge data sets.

With frequent progress calls, reviews, and mentorship, which resulted in improved topic comprehension, I noticed rapid development in terms of work completion and time management. The progress calls also included result analysis and discussions to aid in the improvement of solutions and methods.

My mentor recommended me start documenting everything right away, and I’m glad I did since it really helped me out during my internship. Create a document that you can update regularly with information about the tasks you completed, your learnings, your goals, your struggles, and other pertinent information. It may not seem necessary at first, but it will be very helpful to you when you have to submit your review paper at the end of the internship because you won’t miss any crucial details.

Although managing multiple tasks, determining the best solution for each issue, scheduling my time to finish tasks on time, and meeting deadlines presented me with many challenges, they also helped me develop the soft skills necessary for the industry, such as analytical prowess, presentational abilities, and problem-solving techniques. Last but not least, I would want to point out that without my internship experience, I would not have the knowledge or skills I do now, and I am excited to see where my career in development will lead me in the future.
